Industrial SLS 3D Printing
With SLS technology, no geometry is impossible
Industrial SLS
Selective laser sintering (SLS) is the go-to 3D printing technology for those who need functional parts, not just prototypes. The process selectively fuses high-performance nylon powders layer by layer, producing components with good mechanical properties, impact resistance, and dimensional stability—without the need for printing supports or specialized equipment.
It's the ideal choice when the geometry is complex, deadlines are tight, and quality is non-negotiable.
Nylon 12: Strength, Precision, Reliability

Natural White
Our standard version of Nylon 12 is availablein whiteandoffers high-level engineering performance. Ideal for mechanical components, equipment, and gripping elements, it ensures tight tolerances and a uniform surface finish ready for further machining.
Properties
- High tensile strength and impact resistance
- Good thermal stability up to 170°C
- Resistant to oils, greases, and common solvents
- CNC-machinable surface for precision finishing
- Suitable for contact with electrical and mechanical components

Dyeing in Hot Water
Dyeing 3D-printed parts made of Nylon 12 White on SLS 3D printers allows for the creation of compelling prototypes and production-ready parts in a wide range of colors, enhancing their aesthetic appeal without altering their mechanical properties.
Dyeing is generally used as an alternative to coating.
SLS 3D printers are capable of printing parts with highly complex geometries. These parts may feature details that are difficult or impossible to cover with traditional coatings, which are typically sprayed onto visible areas. Since the dyeing process relies on an aqueous solution to apply the color, complex internal geometries are dyed just as effectively as external details.

Nylon 12 SLS is suitable for the production of supports, housings, and components for medical devices and equipment, where light weight, chemical resistance, and precision are essential requirements.
Why Choose Alma3D Lab
Many people use 3D printing today. What sets Alma 3D Lab apart is its ability to take a component from the mathematical model to the finished part without changing suppliers.
Thanks to the combination of industrial SLS 3D printing and a fleet of 3- and 5-axis CNC machines, Alma is able to print the part in Nylon 12 and, if necessary, subsequently machine it using precision milling and drilling—all within the same facility. The result is tolerances, finishes, and fits that printing alone cannot guarantee, combined with the design freedom that only SLS technology allows.
A tangible benefit: a single supplier, shorter wait times, and greater control over the final quality.
